What and Where

For a fun and informative way to entertain a group of friends or corporate entertaining in London and around the country please contact School of Booze. Choose from: beer tasting, beer and food matching, chocolate and alcohol tasting, wine tasting, Champagne tasting, sherry tasting, cider tasting, and School of Booze will devise a bespoke entertainment for you.

Sessions last for 2 hours. In that time the group will sample a selection of drinks and learn how to identify the aromas and flavours in what they are tasting. They will discover some fascinating facts; participate in teasing challenges, and come away as graduates of School of Booze.

School of Booze can deliver events in your office, home, marquee, boat, or private rooms in pubs, hotels, and restaurants. We operate mainly in London and South East England but we are happy to to where our clients invite us! Price varies depending on the size and requirements of the group.

Beer Tasting

School of Booze presents beer tasting in London, and we are happy to travel around the country to where our clients invite us. We will come to your office, home, boat, or organise an event in a private pub, hotel, or restaurant room. Our tasting events are commissioned as private group events by clients - sorry we do not run a regular schedule of events for general booking.

At School of Booze we are passionate about beer. It is the world’s favourite alcoholic beverage - a magical brew made from water, hops, malted cereal, and yeast - that comes in a variety of styles with over 100 different flavours and aromas. Beer is versatile, wholesome, and in moderation it can be good for the health. People are often surprised at how complex beer is. Why not book a School of Booze tutored beer tasting class, sample a diverse selection of delicious beers, and take some teasing challenges that make the group think while they drink. Beer and Food Matching

School of Booze presents beer and food matching in London, and we are also happy to travel around the country to where our clients invite us. We will come to your office, home, boat, or organise an event in a private pub, hotel, or restaurant room.

Beer is a superb match for food – the variety of flavours in beer can complement or contrast with food and enhance both the beer and the food.

At a School of Booze beer and food matching class, the group learns by tasting a selection of beers, each one with a perfectly matched sample of food.

One of our specialities is beer and chocolate, and beer and dessert.

We can also arrange beer and food matching dinners – with a different beer for each course on the menu – heaven!

Beer and Cheese

Cheese with red wine – that’s the conventional wisdom isn’t it? But to use a matrimony analogy, wine and cheese is often more like a polite co-habitation rather than a passionate union. For a truly harmonious marriage cheese should be matched with beer. Beer and cheese have much in common. Both are fermented and aged, products of the farmyard with a wide variety of styles, aromas and flavours. Beer matched with cheese is an explosion of flavour. So why not gives your tastebuds a treat and book a beer and cheese matching session.

Wine Tasting

School of Booze presents wine tasting in London, and we are happy to travel around the country to where our clients invite us. We will come to your office, home, boat, or organise an event in a private pub, hotel, or restaurant room. At School of Booze we maintain a broad definition of wine – i.e. the fermented juice of plants and trees, not just wine made from grapes. So if you’ve never tasted rose petal, or silver birch wine, now is your chance. We also specialise in lesser known grape wines from around the world including India, Lebanon, England, and Canada,

And we love sparkling wine & Champagne, and fortified wine including Madeira, Port, Sherry, and Marsala.

So for a surprising introduction to wine in its widest sense let School of Booze expand your knowledge of one of humankind’s most ancient alcoholic drinks as you sample a selection of wines and take some teasing challenges that make the group think while they drink.

Cider Tasting

Tangy, spicy, refreshing, bittersweet, and fragrant are just five ways of describing cider. Made from the fermented juice of apples or pears (when it known as perry), cider is the rural heritage of England in a bottle.
