Jane Peyton Biography

As founder (and Principal) of the School of Booze Jane has expertise in something that makes millions of people very happy - alcohol. Not just in the subject of modern alcohol and what best to drink but also the cultural history of alcohol. Jane can recreate and make historic alcoholic drinks such as Huckle My Buff and Purl Royal. Ask her what Cleopatra or Jane Austen drank and she can tell you! Beer is a particular passion and Jane was London's first accredited female beer sommelier with the ability to match any dish with beer especially dessert.  Jane trained through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and the Beer Academy. 

Jane Peyton is an engaging host,  presenter, and after dinner speaker.

She is the author of several non fiction books including 'Brilliant Britain', 'The Book of Booze' (published by Summersdale September 2013), and 'Beer o' Clock' (published by Summersdale September 2013).

Jane is also the founder of Operalicious ® - unique opera events where the food & drink served is themed according to the opera and complemented by a professional opera singer.
